Small campground, very easy to get to off of I-35 and Hwy 13. Quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. Great place to stay when visiting the Cities. Only 13 miles from the Mall and the Hiawatha Light Rail which takes one to the Metro Dome or right into downtown Minneapolis.
The park is awful. The price is high and there are no amenities. Dogs run free even though they are supposed to be leashed. Upkeep and repairs are lacking.
Okay for a night or two. There is noise from trucking company next to the campground plus the interstate. Roads are gravel and rough. Sites are gravel also. Not too far from Abilene if visiting sites there. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Sites are a little narrow but they are long. The grounds seem to be well taken care of. Antenna TV was not great; there is no cable. Okay for a night or two.
The concrete pad in the "Premium" section was spacious but that is as far as it went. Other than the landscaping around Koi Pond, there was nothing but weeds and dirt. The only landscaped site was one of the resort's owners. Things are in disrepair. In the tent area one pavilion is laying on the ground. The fence near the dumpster was falling over. The barnyard odors were not pleasant. The view from the back row of "Premium" sites is a gravel vehicle storage lot. It may be the best place to camp in Moab but it has a long way to go to be a luxury resort.
It's a very nice park. The concerns are narrow roads and narrow sites, low tree branches, very sporadic wi-fi connections. Sometimes the wi-fi would work but most of the time it didn't. The staff is very friendly, helpful and concerned about your enjoyment. If you need your rig washed and waxed or the carpet cleaned have the office call Nick at Ultimate Detailing. We were very satisfied with their work. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Lakeview sites a large, concrete pads with parking next to pad for car. Turns in the roads could be a little wider for large rigs. While the lake is a long way away due to the low lake levels, the views are spectacular. The staff is very friendly. Laundry facilities good. We would stay here again.
This park is truly big rig friendly with nice turning radiuses on their roads, and long wide sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The highway noise was minimal. We stayed here in a 42 ft. coach.
A great campground! Large sites, wide roads, wonderful staff. The option of ordering dinner and having it delivered to your site is nice. The food was excellent. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast they offer. Laundry room was large and very clean.
The park is easy access to I-40 and has no problems accommodating 42' rigs with a toad with no need to unhook. The owners are very friendly. You can order dinner from the office and it is delivered to your campsite. Besides full dinners, pizzas and desserts are also available. Food was good. Would definitely stay here again.
First off, we tried calling ahead for two days and got only voice mail stating that there is room in the CG for that night. It was the same message for both days !! When we finally got here there was a note on the door saying " back at 1pm " We waited because we needed the utilities before heading home. CG is mostly permanent run down, shabby units with only a few overnight sites with full hookups. The owner/manager has four small yapping dogs that irritate easily. The in/out road is OK but the CG is hilly and the roads are bumpy and very narrow. Our site has dog waste from a previous RV'er. We will avoid this one at all costs. Our patience is running pretty thin with these older KOA facilites.
The only thing that this Park could do better is to trim their trees from side to side and up to at least 15' above the roads. The staff was superb and the work/campers were extremely helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay and the surrounding Charleston,SC area. This County Park offers a wealth of activities for all ages.
We stayed here to visit Louisville area attractions and that is about all that this KOA is good for. The sites are extremely narrow. There is a railroad switching operations only feet away. We had to back out of the site. The turning radius to exit was blocked by towed vehicles necessitating a back up maneuver. However, for all this campground's faults, we found the staff very helpful in getting us in and out of our site. The campground is also a gas/diesel station with a convenience store which adds to the noise factor. We will not stay here again.
